Xenogears Plot Synopsis

Xenogears is a turn-based role-playing game (RPG) produced by Squaresoft in 1998. The story revolves around a young man named, Fei Fong Wong, who has no memory of his past. As the story progresses, Fei, along with his companions discover just who he and what he is exactly.

Players can either fight on foot, or on their mobile-suits (think Gundam) called Gears. The story is filled with numerous allusions to Judeo-Christian myth, as well as references to Norse mythology. Such "faith" and philosophical issues (and the fact that they are fighting on board giant robots) might even lead people to think it to be very much like Neon Genesis Evangelion.

In a very RPG-ish manner, Fei and his companions' actions and adventures ultimately lead the fate of all humanity on their shoulders. The story starts in the tranquil village of Lahan, which unfortunately lies in the outskirts of Aveh and very near the borders of Kislev two warring nations.
